Hey guys so ive gotten some of the programs from the hitechic site and ive downloaded them and put them onto the bot and ive tested them but they wont work. any ideas for fixes?

You are going to need to give slightly more information than that. What exactly is not working? can you get the sensor to return any data? What is your current setup? Since it appears you are using Labview, i can't help with code specifics, but there should be test programs on the NXT brick to check if any information is coming from the sensor.
