Veteran teams do not have to reinstall WindRiver
This year's WindRiver distribution appears to be of the same version as last year's. I applied the workbench update (rev. 3589) to the previous year's WindRiver installation, and was able to compile, deploy, and run example code from this year's update. I also updated the license by running WindRiver "Product Maintenance", selecting "Online Content", and activating using the activation file included on disk one of this year's WindRiver distribution. Hopefully this will save teams some time!

Re: Veteran teams do not have to reinstall WindRiver
I saw that the versions are the same. I *personally* reinstalled my copy because it may cause a conflict in the future and I wanted to eliminate the option of a software installation error. During last season, something happened to our WB where it gave compiling errors on one computer that were completely random but worked fine on another computer.

Re: Veteran teams do not have to reinstall WindRiver
Similar story here. I think the 3.0 version may have changed, but the 3.3 one hasn't.

Re: Veteran teams do not have to reinstall WindRiver
2012->2013
Windriver Versions: 3.0.0->3.0.1 3.3.0->3.3.1 I didn't get a chance to check the revision numbers on the 2012 version. |

Re: Veteran teams do not have to reinstall WindRiver
Are there any new example projects in WindRiver 2013? (File->New->Example->Downloadable Kernel Module->[...]).
