Where is the full CAD of the field for the 2013 game?

I've been on the hunt all morning for the CAD of the field. I don't care if its a Autodesk or SolidWorks file. I have both. I already have one of just the pyramid. Are they out yet or am I just not looking hard enough?

Autodesk should have a .STEP version of the KoP and Field on their Educational Community Website.

Re: Where is the full CAD of the field for the 2013 game?

As Nathan indicated there is an Autodesk Inventor 2013 version of the field and a STEP version. I have atttached the STEP version to this post.

The major components are modeled such as the pyramids, goals, etc.

Thanks this will help out a lot for the time being. But is there an official 2013 field drawing available?

Thanks.

Re: Where is the full CAD of the field for the 2013 game?

Strictly speaking, I don't think an "official" version exists, primarily because FIRST relies (and has done so in the past) on Autodesk and PTC to provide CAD models of the KoP and field. I would regard those as the most official. However, the drawings provided by FIRST and the GDC are the official specifications for the field, barring adjustments in the Q&A, should there be any.

Re: Where is the full CAD of the field for the 2013 game?

It's silly to think that there is not an official version that FIRST has used in design and production of the field in the first place. Where do you think they get their technical drawings from? Why they rely on PTC and Autodesk to remodel everything, instead of just releasing their own STEP, is beyond me.

The 3rd level is now at the correct height but the corner tubes at the top are not correct. First image is the latest STEP file, second is the image from the field drawings.

Re: Where is the full CAD of the field for the 2013 game?

Can anyone shed light on whether the Pro/E version of the pyramid has these dimension issues? It appears that somehow the Autodesk version is still consistent with the published drawings (I haven't checked to be sure), so perhaps it is. I haven't yet been able to import the Pro/E version into Solidworks, so if anyone who has seen the Pro/E version could check this out, that'd be appreciated.

Re: Where is the full CAD of the field for the 2013 game?

The Autodesk Inventor model did correct the height of the pyramids per the other post discussion. (Thanks a ton for the quick turnaround Phil!). The current discrepancy is actually the base width of the pyramid being ~90" instead of 94. This lowers the intersection of the tubing make the top appear taller. I mistakenly thought the angle was wrong (60° instead of 68°) but I wasn't taking the projection in the angle measurement. This is noted in the other pyramid discussion thread.

The ProE version appears to match the drawings and manual.

Re: Where is the full CAD of the field for the 2013 game?

Since I had enough difficulty with the Inventor version, then failing to import the Pro/E version to Solidworks, then with installing Pro/E, then with getting it to render anything at all.... I figured I'd post a .step of the Pro/E exported from Pro/E for the rest of us looking for accurate pyramid CAD. This one also has complete alliance stations.

A STEP of the Pro/E version of the field can be found here.

I tried to load the ProE step file you posted, but it is so large that my Inventor 2011 installation crashes for lack of virtual memory. Can you post a step of only the pyramid?

Pyramid STEP file attached.

STEP files may lose their constraints when opened, so, in the browser, select all parts or assemblies and then click Grounded.

Hey Phil, just to make sure 100%, is that last Pyramid STEP file you posted accurate?
