Google Docs and Forms
All,
I found the Google Doc Form tool and here's an attempt at using it to create a Scouting spreadsheet that is web enable by any kind of device that can bring up a web page. I thought it was easy to make. The form writes survey data to a Google Doc spreadsheet where you can use conditional formatting to color code, filter and sort. The form also will output statistics of the gathered data. What do you all think? Best of all it is free. to create any kind of form There's the form I made: Try it out. Re: Google Docs and Forms
For some of the drop down menus it might be easier to have a text entry field. This way no one has to import all the teams/names/events/match numbers etc. You might be able to provide a "suggested format" above the entry field in case none of the options available will work. This way will be a bit more effort for the users of the form, but might make it a bit easier for the creator(s).
