This was clarified by Q&A. If your robot fits in a 54" diameter right cylinder, it's good, assuming that it doesn't violate G23-1-B.

G23 applies while your robot is not touching the pyramid. Then your robot has to fit inside a 54 in cylinder relative to the floor.
G23-1A applies when your robot is touching the pyramid. The latest interpretation from the GDC is that your robot is legal when touching the pyramid if it always fits inside a 54" diameter by 84" tall cylinder in ANY orientation. That is, if you can think of a way to turn a 54" x 84" cylinder so that your robot fits inside it, then you're legal. |
