Controlling pneumatic Cylinder on a Joystick?
Hi,
My team wants to use a pneumatic cylinder to control the angle of the shooter and they want to know if it is possible to control it on a joystick so you could for example tell it to go 35% of the way out. Is this possible? Is it a good idea? Any help is appreciated! |

Re: Controlling pneumatic Cylinder on a Joystick?
It's technically possible to give air slowly to a pneumatic cylinder and stop when it's where you want it to be.
It's not a good idea, especially for something that will be bearing much of a load. It'll be springy/bouncy at best. Pneumatic cylinders aren't great at holding a set position that isn't at one end or the other of their travel. |
