No Camera Feed to Dashboard

Hi Everybody,
So I'm a complete beginner when it comes to programming the camera, so what I've done so far is I've configured the camera, followed the instructions from the "Acquiring Images from the AXIS Network Camera" for the camera code, and I'm just using the default code for the FRC cRIO robot project in LabView. I've plugged in the camera to the d-link, and all the lights are on, the light around the lens is green, but there's no feed to the dashboard.

Am I doing anything wrong, or did I forget to do anything?

Did you right click the "Enable" button on the dash board?

What is the difference between right clicking it and left clicking it?

UPDATE: I assume you meant left clicking, because nothing happens when I right click it. But yes, I did click the enable button and nothing shows up.

Can you point a web browser at http://10.23.67.11/ and log in to the camera?

I don't know, but I'll try that tomorrow and let you know.

From that point, will I be able to do anything else, or does that just serve a as a type of "pinging" function?

You'll be able to see the video feed through the browser.

Re: No Camera Feed to Dashboard

Be sure to enable anonymous viewing on the setup and have the FPS set at least to 30.

That's not necessary for the LabVIEW Dashboard.
You don't actually want to run the camera at 30fps if you can avoid it to minimize the bandwidth it sucks up, since we're limited to 7Mb/s this year.

I did, and I can see the video feed, so I don't think it's a problem with the camera or the connection, so what could be wrong?

Re: No Camera Feed to Dashboard

Is your laptop connected to the DLink wirelessly?
If it is, then try connecting with an Ethernet cable instead to see if the camera image appears (enabling the video feed) on the Dashboard.

If it works while wired, but not wirelessly, then the camera settings are probably too bandwidth intensive. The wireless settings on the DLink emulate the real playing field bandwidth limitations for the Dashboard feed. If that's the case, then just adjust the camera settings using the built-in Dashboard controls until you get the camera bandwidth under ~5Mb/s.

Re: No Camera Feed to Dashboard

Yes, as long as you have a long Ethernet cable and are careful not to drag your laptop off the table if the robot drives freely.

In the pits at competition that will be the normal hookup, because you won't be permitted to use wireless in the Pits, just on the field.
The DLink wireless will actually be locked down at competition, so you won't be able to connect wirelessly without the fields help.

Re: No Camera Feed to Dashboard

Ok, it works now. I think the problem was the framerate, and thanks for helping me debug it!
