I have just performed an experiment that I had intended to do before I published the Applicaton Notes, but ran out of time.

Basically, I have a recomendation for teams that want to stall a Globe motor but can't do it with the stuff in the kit.

Here is how.

Use a Ruland Rigid Coupling to connect the short Globe motor shaft to a longer 1/4 inch dia. shaft. Then use TWO Trantorques to connect ONE sprocket to this extended shaft. The combination of the two Trantorques provide enough grip to the 1/4 inch shaft to stall the Globe motors.

This trick can be used any time you want to provide more twist to a 1/4 inch shaft than a single Trantorque can provide. I was surprised at how well this worked.

What you do with that extra torque is up to you.

I thought the coupling was only rated for 30 to 60 in-lbs? If so, how can it transmit the stall torque?
