Re: D-Link

Use a CAT5 ethernet cable (one came in the Kit of Parts) and plug one end into the dlink and the other into your cRIO. If you have an 8 slot cRIO, plug it into ethernet port one. Take a look at this document, specifically starting on page 10.

Re: D-Link

Also be advised that there is a very specific, and absolutely mandatory, way of connecting power to the DLink radio. Please search the rules for it, but if you cannot find it, feel free to ask again here. If you don't do it correctly, you will fail inspection.

Re: D-Link

I'd like to amend what Don said. If you don't connect it correctly you _should_ fail inspection, however don't use that as a failsafe of "oh, well if it's wrong inspection will catch it and tell us how to fix it". Many teams have competed with improperly wired D-Link radios. The reason there is a specific way to wire the D-Link is because if it is wired improperly it could turn off during a match and take (on the Rev. A) 50 seconds to turn back on.

tl;dr Be sure to look at the wiring rules so you don't disconnect for 50 seconds of a match.
