Placement of stuff in the box...
Posted by Janna.
Student on team #349, The RoBahamas, from International Academy and Ford Motor Company. Posted on 11/2/2000 1:48 PM MST Hi, From the rules that I read, it seems like everything in the box is hands-off. And we don't plan on modifying any of the pieces. But...can we change the *placement* of, say, the battery and the robot controller in order to make replacing the battery easier with our current design? Thanks. Janna |

Answer: Please do not rearrange things inside the box. I know that some times the rules seem unreasonable, but we usually have reasons for things. Mostly, we are trying to keep things safe, fair and re-useable next year. While many teams may be able to move things around without causing any problems at all, there are other teams that could inadvertantly destroy a whole lot of equipment without really trying. So... Please keep the insides of the robot controller box just as you found them. Joe J. |
