First Year Regional
We (Team 4795) are going to our first regional (NC) tomorrow. Any good tips you guys have for a rookie team like us?
PS. Is there a cRIO update? |

Re: First Year Regional
Bring anything and everything you think you might need. There's no telling what might break/go south.

Re: First Year Regional
Try to get inspected as quickly as possible, and play some practice matches. In practice matches you may uncover things that dont work the way you want, or could be better. Plus the driver experience never hurts!

Re: First Year Regional
Talk to the inspectors first thing to find out the minimum, partial, inspection that will allow you out into the practice matches. Then get out there for every match you have scheduled, any any extras you can fit in. Make sure you've passed inspection by pit closing on Thursday, but GET ON THE FIELD and drive against live robots.

Re: First Year Regional
Double check everything BEFORE you call the inspector over!!!
Inspectors are usually very helpful, and will tell you what needs to be fixed, but their patience can wear thin ![]() |

Re: First Year Regional
As has been said: get ready to go on the field ASAP to play in early practice matches; bring tools for anything you have on the robot; and bring as many spare parts and/or stock to make replacements as you can!
My team, 1519, will be there and would be glad to help and/or lend tools/parts! Look for the tie-dye blue and feel free to stop by the pit! I - unfortunately - wasn't able to travel down with the team... |

Re: First Year Regional
And remember, if you make a change to your robot you need to get re-inspected!
