A Different Solenoid Breakout Output Voltage Issue

Hello, my name is Marco from Team 564. We are experiencing an issue where the solenoid on analog channel 5 is working according to the module on the cRIO (corresponding LED is turning on etc.) but, there is no voltage being sent to the valve. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

What are you using as a voltage source?

Re: A Different Solenoid Breakout Output Voltage Issue

A couple things to check:

1) Input voltage
2) The breakout board itself
3) Wiring (the solenoid wires usually have to be spliced)

And I remember now for some reason that our sidecar had gone out, and literally everything was working except our signal light and the pneumatics. I currently can't remember why, because our pneumatics was nowhere near connected to the digital sidecar. I searched into this problem for MONTHS, and after we swapped digital sidecars, it worked. Sidecars tend to be a little fragile.

Re: A Different Solenoid Breakout Output Voltage Issue

It's quite possible that if you are running the breakout on 12 volts that you have a 24 volt solenoid mixed in by mistake. It's not a hard fix if all your solenoids are 12 & 24 volt compatible

Where could someone purchase 12/24 tolerant solenoids? Those would be amazing to have!

analog channel 5? Are you sure? Solenoids aren't analog devices.
