Yeah similar, but not quite the one. The one I have is longer.

Some basic research going from the Clippard link on AM's site (and they happen to give the Clippard part number) led to http://www.clippard.com/downloads/PD...Page%20063.pdf, which should have the length you need. Look in the yellow box.

Note that that isn't going to help with the burst pressure rating--but I should think that you'd be able to contact the company and get that.

At the Midwest regional a Clippard tank from a team exploded on Thursday morning. My guess is because they didn't wait for the tank to get room temperature. I believe they're more likely to explode when they're cold. I haven't read anything about this being the reason but it's just my guess.

Plastic or metal? I have yet to hear about any of the metal ones going off.


You'd probably be correct about the cold, but usually it wouldn't manifest at anything above freezing. Colder materials tend to become more brittle, which means more catastrophic failures.

I would assume so. AM calls it the capacity; I would figure that that is max operating pressure (which would be lower than burst pressure, which happens to be hard to find on both sites).

I meant the plastic ones. I think Clippard should probably post the ideal temperature or something.

Good point. AM does for the ones they sell--max is 100F, but minimum isn't posted--but I didn't see a single temperature on Clippard's sheet or site (granted, I wasn't looking for it).
