2013 Trick Shots and Great Plays

This thread is inspired from a shot by team 70 in the QFs of MARC.

We were watching the archive today at our meeting and found this really astonishing.

More Martians line up behind the pyramid and they shoot a little early. The disc hits the bottom rung of the pyramid and flies nearly straight up to land in the pyramid goal. Had it been a colored disc it would have been perfect.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VcsXPotzKI&feature=player_detailpage#t=10 4s
It starts at 1:44 if the link doesn't take you there.

What other plays would make the top 10 for season?

Re: 2013 Trick Shots and Great Plays

I didn't see it myself, but this sounds like a top 10:

the real question though: does video exist?

How about 195's missed full court shot landing perfectly in 175's hopper? This happened in mento match at Beantown Blitz.

Also from MARC, 548 shoots a disc off the low pyramid bar, and back into their own hopper. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=255gTFh9zL0 around 43 seconds... if only they had scored it after.

Re: 2013 Trick Shots and Great Plays

Did any team block a FCS shot into their own goal? We were close at around 1:38 in this video http://www.thebluealliance.com/match/2013mosl_qm75, but if someone did that would have been an extremely cool, top 10 shot.

Team 1987 blocked one of our shots by firing into our alliance member's blocker such that it ricocheted off and into the flight path of our shooter.

this year at the world champs we were playing defense on 868 and they shot a frisbee directly up one of our barrels on our double barrel shooter we could of scored it but there was about thirty seconds on the clock

Wow, I thought it just got stuck somewhere in your robot. It would have been crazy if you guys scored that. I would still squeeze in at least one cycle at 30 seconds.

Video here , at roughly 1:43.

Re: 2013 Trick Shots and Great Plays

During the Pine Tree Regional elims, we were on our last cycle of discs, and were caught on a frisbee under the pyramid. As we jimmied off and started shooting, the first shot bounced off the vertical post of the pyramid corner and directly into the high goal.

Shot is at 2:15, link begins right before that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT7Z5CmpRFU&t=2m13s
