IRI prescouting 2013

This is a google docs spreadsheet for IRI 2013.
IRI_2013_prescouting_spreadsheet

This spreadsheet is for the use of all teams competing at Indiana Robotics Invitational. Do not use sort. Please do not change formatting. If necessary, change the row height to fit all your team info. If you have any suggestions or changes, please post them on the thread. Use 1 and 0 for yes/no questions. If it does not apply, leave blank. Fill in what you can, quality is better than quantity. Measurements in feet and inches.

Thanks for sharing this spreadsheet! I think many scouting teams (including ours) will like this data!

Re: IRI prescouting 2013

The Max OPR values don't include championships. I assume you took it straight from Ed Law's spreadsheet.
Without doing any extra work, when looking in the OPR World Rank sheet, it gives you the MAX OPR outside of championships. To find the OPR including CMP, use the Query page.
I just noticed because 20's is incorrect.

Here is a booklet put together by 195. It has a copy of Ed Law's data (the version that included championship performance). Also a picture of each robot.

Enjoy

Re: IRI prescouting 2013

Isn't a low DPR better than a high DPR? It's calculated by opponents' scores, so lower is better than higher.
Shouldn't there be a "Min DPR" column instead of a "Max DPR" column?

EDIT: After some more research, it appears like there are two different definitions of DPR.

The one that i know of is

Which one is this spreadsheet using?

this is going to be really helpful for teams (like ourselves) who are basically sending our drive team plus a few other students

You should also attempt to get pictures of all the teams. I've organized this for most of the events we've gone to the last few years, but we're sitting this IRI out.

Re: IRI prescouting 2013

To any teams who don't have a scouting system & want to work together, feel free to use our scouting cards & modify them to fit your needs. Our scouting strategy was highly accurate at the regionals we attended and helped us go into finals at both regionals (although it might be quite off here at IRI). More details on our system can be found here.

The spreadsheet uses the DPR as the average number of points a team stops its opponents from scoring.

I actually took it from team 27's pre championship database. It was really easy because I could just paste the team list and it would give me all the data. I'll keep the DPR because Ed Law's database doesn't have it but i'll switch the rest for the updated data.
