Ok, so now in conjunction with the 'Kickoff' post & the 'Sports & Music are full' post I was wondering......

Where is everyone staying for Nationals?

We'll be at Doubletree Suites unless something goes insanely wrong.. That's where we're always at.. Not exactly as much fun as being at All-Star, but we deal.. Personally, I visited All-Star Resorts each night last year.. Catch a bus from Doubletree to Downtown Disney to All-Star and all is well, so long as you don't miss the last bus to Downtown Disney..

Team 190 will probably be staying at the Doubletree Suites over by Downtown Disney... We don't get the FIRST package, just get tickets for each day and what not... its near food and we still get to take the bus to epcot in the morning, its fun.

Rambots will be out of Orlando entirely....we stay in Kissimee, FL ... my first year not in the parks of Disney, but apparently it was a huge hit with the team last year...though I imagine I'll be stopping by the other resorts visiting people )

All Star Music...who else will be there?

My team (349) booked our rooms at All Star Music awhile ago, so we're pretty psyched about staying there. Personally, this is my first year in a hotel where there are a lot of other FIRST teams...last year we stayed at the Disney Treehouse condos (*really* isolated), and the year before we stayed offsite where there was only like 1 other team. So I've heard a lot of FIRST teams stay at All Star and now I'm curious...who else is staying there this year? If your team is, I'll probably see you there!

#237, the Sie-H2O-Bots, will be at All Star Sports....and I have no idea how good/bad it'll be, though I am looking forward to seeing more than the occasional FIRST team every time I turn around, as compared to Dixie Landings. Don't get me wrong, I love Dixie & all...I'm just looking for a change

After 50 minutes of trying to fax in our Disney hotel registration, we finally got through.

They just told us last night that we got All-Star Music.

It looks like Santa's gift of luck has arrived a bit early this year!

ps... Scratch, I'm in for the football game!

I was faxing starting at 8:30 that morning. We got thru at 10:30 and were not able to get rooms.

We are staying ( Chief Delphi #47 ) off site and are saving about $16,000.

I appears that many teams booked sports and music outside the time period and did not use the group reservation as requested by FIRST.

Disney is only releasing X amount to FIRST teams, if you call as a nobody you can get rooms. I did and then decided that we would stay offsite and not mess with them. As a matter of fact we may be going to universal studios on our wed and Sun not to disney at all.

The shirt is not that important.
