paper: py4frc - Intuitive Desktop App for OPR, Standings, and Teamlists
Thread created automatically to discuss a document in CD-Media.
py4frc - Intuitive Desktop App for OPR, Standings, and Teamlists by Basel A This actual file didn't attach (created new, "empty" papers instead). Not sure what the problem is, but in the meantime, you can download the executable from this link: http://www.filedropper.com/py4frc. It's about 20MB. This is really simple. The app loops, asking two questions each time. What do you want? - There's four options: opr, all oprs (includes sub-oprs), standings/rankings, and team list. What event? - You can answer with any event code or (this is the fun part) any common name for an event. MSC, SVR, GTRE, Chestnut Hill, Kettering. I might be missing some, but I think I've got all the common ones. Let me know if you have any I missed. It'll then print out what you want! In general, don't worry about capitalisation or most punctuation. I tried to make it as simple as possible. There might be a bug or two. If you have any suggestions, feel free to send me a PM. Re: paper: py4frc - Intuitive Desktop App for OPR, Standings, and Teamlists
It seems like there are quite a few glitches with all oprs. Weird numbers are coming up such as team 610 being shown to have a -82.44 teleop OPR and a 95.25 climb opr for Galileo, Team 2512 is showing a -14360.13 Auto OPR, 10330.71 Teleop OPR, and 4104.21 Climb OPR.
They all add up to the base OPR, but there is definitely an issues with the breakout, and it isn't limited to Galileo, Kansas City has the same issues. |

![]() Fortunately it was just one bug and not a difficult fix. Re-uploaded the file and it should work properly now. |

Re: paper: py4frc - Intuitive Desktop App for OPR, Standings, and Teamlists
Usually CD Media freaks out when files are ~10mb or more. I usually have to go through and delete log and build files to get it to upload properly for code releases (which are ~9mb code only). This is probably your issue.

Did you check your sub-OPR numbers with my new ones? Do they all match? |

Palardy, thanks. That's probably the issue then. I'll have to see if I can condense the file somehow (or find a less sketchy depository than I'm currently using). |

Re: paper: py4frc - Intuitive Desktop App for OPR, Standings, and Teamlists
This has been updated for 2014 and will work live. Here's the file: http://goo.gl/89CZmp (warning: it's a 20 MB exe, it's not a virus). Calculates 4 OPRs: Auton, Assist, T&C, Foul. While total OPR probably won't be very effective, I expect Auton and T&C OPRs will be meaningful. It's difficult to test effectively, but I think I've worked out all the bugs. Let me know (PM, @BaselThe2nd, where ever) if you have any problems. It's still too large to upload to CD, but the link in the description will work, permanently. I'll be at home during Week 1 events to make any fixes that may be necessary.
The Python source code is available on GitHub. Feel free to use it as a module. I'm working on a larger project that takes the information available here, adds in a few nice features, and displays it all in a friendly format. Until I can release that, I'm simply making this available. Last edited by Basel A : 27-02-2014 at 06:23. |

New version (now with fewer bugs!) posted in the description. Couldn't edit the previous post.
