Team 256 Scavenger Hunt Fundraiser (San Jose, CA)

Help support the Willow Glen High School robotics team by participating in our big fundraiser this year! Our second annual scavenger hunt will take place on October 19, 2013.

The entry fee for a team of 4 people is $200 ($50 per person), or $100 for a pure-student team ($25 per person). Teams will start from a secret location in Willow Glen. Each team will have an iPhone, iPad, Android Phone, or Android Tablet pre-loaded with the Xplorious App from our friends at AppDelegates. At the appointed start time, the app will unlock and present the first clues for each team. The clues will lead them to various places in downtown Lincoln Avenue where teams will need to find items or complete various challenges for points. The team with the most points at the end of the day wins!

The event will start at 1pm, and should last 3-4 hours. Wear appropriate shoes for walking or running. Also, please carry $10 in cash during the race in the event some of challenges require a small purchase. Team shirts/costumes are optional, but encouraged, as they make the event even more fun! After the race there will be a party where results and photos from the race will be uploaded in realtime from the app. At the Post-Race party we will hand out prizes, and crown the winners of the second annual WGHS Robotics team Scavenger Hunt with the prestigious Guptill Trophy.
