need ANIMATION help!!!!!

Posted by matt at 1/21/2001 12:32 AM EST

Student on team #74, HOTHEADS, from Holland High School and Haworth Inc..

We have a video file in MPEG format (which is what we prefer to use) but 3DS MAX refuses to accept it. Does anyone know of a way to convert our video safely (w/o loss of quality) to an AVI file or anything the program will recognize? (sound is not necessary)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

it would be helpful if you gave which mpeg # format it is. they have mpeg-1, 2, 3, and 4 now, so it's hard to give u the program name as they vary for each one.

my suggestion is you just search for "convert mpeg to avi" @ google.com. I did that and I was able to find programs for each mpeg comression.

email me if u need help...
