Bridge Balancers..

Posted by Anton Abaya at 1/26/2001 10:31 AM EST

Coach on team #419, Rambots, from UMass Boston / BC High and NONE AT THE MOMENT! .

Any teams there who are making a bot that'll balance two (or one) goal on the bridge from the outside?

we designed it, but couldn't make it practical... I'll be curious to see who can make it work well

Our plan is to balance with the robot on. Seems to be working out pretty well so far.

We had a neat idea for balancing robot-less but...it probably wont pan out.

By outside do you mean from the floor (not on the bridge)? If so then our team will most definately do this, for there is no reason one should need to stay on the bridge to balance the goals.

Our bot design 237 guarantees that our alliance will easily put both goals "with big balls" balanced on the ramp, every game....

He's not joking, either, it's like nothing we've ever done before, and it's sure to turn a few heads.

Us too. We've built a prototype robot using old robots and we got it to work.

We are. Team 379. To do that though you will need to get 280 to 290 lbs up the incline. Think about it!!
