Team 178 2014 Build
The first in what we hope becomes an annual project, welcome nuts and bolts to the 2014 2nd Law Enforcers Build Season Weekly Update Log! Here, one of our students captures footage of the goings-on within the Team 178 warehouse. Then, thank to the wonders of I-Movie, he mashes it all together into one piece. This thread will be updated regularly as videos are posted.
Week 1: We're using a Kit-Bot? Heads Up! Week 2: ??????? Week 3: *may not happen due to midterms Week 4: ??????? Week 5: ??????? Week 6: The Final Countdown...this year For more info about our team, click here |

Re: Team 178 2014 Build
Impressive, we just have one team, not really any subteams, but we are growing, hopefully one day to this size!

Re: Team 178 2014 Build
Okay, the link for week 2 has appeared, but I will ask the same question I did on the separate week 2 thread. Should I continue to update this or create a new thread each week?

Re: Team 178 2014 Build
Hello again nuts and bolts. The choice has been made to post further updates on this thread so let's get right to it
Week 3: Coming Soon to a Competition Near You While midterm exams were a large part of why we did (relatively) little during this week, it's not the only things. Fun fact: footage used in this video was of the Enforcers preparing to host our second Jr. FLL Expo right in our very school. Anyone interested in seeing how it went? Nevertheless, our normal build schedule has resumed and the week 4 update will show what is going on our powder-coated frame. |

Re: Team 178 2014 Build
This week's episode is brought to you by the letter 'S' because the students new favorite word is 'sketchy'.
Week 4: Give Them the Ol' One-Two Stage Punch! With midterms complete, the Enforcers get back into the full swing of build season. With 3 weeks left, both students and mentors agree to have our robot built by the end of week 5. If successful it will be the first time (that I can remember) where we've had time to dedicate solely to programming and driver practice. Keep your pliers crossed every-bot-y! See you after week 5! |

Re: Team 178 2014 Build
Almost 2500 views later we arrive at the end of another week of build season. Snow tried it's hardest to interfere with our plans, but like true New Englanders we shrug it off and keep working.
Week 5: Show me Ya' Moves! (Guest Star: Hawkeye, the Enforcers 2013 robot) How do you like our progress? Anything about our robot you like/dislike? Don't be afraid to leave comments. The final push is upon us folks! Come this time next week we'll be scrambling to the finish. See you there... ![]() |

Re: Team 178 2014 Build
Rain, sleet, snow, even ice can't stop us from finishing build season. Nuts and bolts, we have arrived at the finale of our 6 week long project and so much has happened that it had to be split into 2 videos! Without any more delays:
Week 6.1: Sprinting to the Finish! Keep a close eye on this thread for our final video ![]() |

Re: Team 178 2014 Build
During our final rounds of testing, we were called to battle to show what other NE FIRST teams could expect from the 2014 Enforcers. When the announcement was made the FIRST could no longer provide a field, a long standing tradition of CT teams seemed finished. However, the members of team 176 (Aces High) of Suffield High School pulled together enough support to once again host their annual scrimmage: The Suffield Shakedown.
Week 6-2: Onward to Battle! Or No Punch, No Problem! 5 matches worth of footage were packed into this video. We hope you enjoy the almost complete Captain Falcon. NOTE: I lied last time, this is not our final update. Stay tuned for the final days of build season! |

Re: Team 178 2014 Build
All the past videos have lead us to this point. My friends, we are at the closing of the 2014 2nd Law Enforcers Build Season updates. Without further delay, our final update shall proudly present our complete robot: Captain Falcon
Week 6-3: It's The Final Countdown and We Came to Play Guest appearances from Team 3718 The Junkyard Battalion, and our long time friends of Team 4055 NRG (Northwestern Robotics Gearheads). Both teams accepted our invitation to use our practice field for their robots. Can't wait to do it again next year ![]() |
