Student on team #263, aftershock, from sachem and symbol, retlif, apogee, citi, ca, etc.. In Reply to: Team #222 - 2001 Robot Pictures Posted by Charlie on 2/10/2001 10:37 PM EST: geez guyz your robot sucks! what is the point of using a huge claw, as the primary use of the robot, for some little points? use the primary for getting the big points! fact is, you dont get much points for putting balls in the goal, and in 2 seconds, a robot can push the goal to the wall where students can put them in while the 4 robots proceed to the end zone. HELLO!?!?!?! |

In Reply to: Re: Team #222 - 2001 Robot Pictures Posted by erik lundoy on 2/12/2001 6:58 PM EST: Thanks for the Comments Erik, however they are just a little bit inappropriate don't you think!! Our *Sucky Robot* can do everything EXCEPT go over the bar. Our *useless* Arm Can: Easily Pick up the large balls and place them in the goal........Easily pick up the small black balls and put them in the goal......Control the ramp, picking it up to allow others to cross or push it down to get us across {to the endzone} Not to mention our robot has 4-wheel drive capable of easily pushing or pulling the goals and stretcher, using our Dual Claws that clamp on and don't let go!!! I don't get why you came to the conclusion that our robot sucks and will lack the ability to score many points. What more do you want??? PS. Umm, where exactly is your robot?? Anyone else have any Comments or Questions? |

easy now...

In Reply to: Re: Team #222 - 2001 Robot Pictures Posted by Charlie on 2/13/2001 12:28 PM EST: Let's all take some deep breaths... Nobody should be calling robots names other than complimentary ones at this point. AND... If someone IS ungracious enough to make silly comments about your robot, I don't ask for no response, but I do ask you to be a restrained as possible in your reply. You need not fear that the comments will be taken seriously. The folks that matter on this forum (the gracious ones) get a negative impression of the detractor, not your robot. For what it's worth, I think your robot looks pretty great. Joe J. |
