A Couple of Questions

Hey! we've got a couple of issues to get rules-legal. Namely, we have no readout on our voltage, and we have a compressor that either will not turn on when we enable the robot, or will not turn off when we disable it.

we have not had our compressor working, yet have the same code as what we had last year. We had help at one point, but still could not figure it out, we have the spike and switch wired correctly....so we have no clue what is wrong.

The battery we USED to get a voltage reading, but it stopped and started reading 00.00 volts. we went to a preregional competition, and since then we noticed the issue. what could have changed in that time?

Re: A Couple of Questions

For the battery voltage, make sure there is a jumper on the analog breakout board on the pins specified in the control system connectivity guides here: http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprogr...control-system

EDIT: I think this is on the older analog breakouts. I think the newer analog breakouts don't require the jumper. If there are no pins for you to put a jumper, then the analog breakout board might not be working, and you should look into replacing it.

Re: A Couple of Questions

In addition to the jumper, make sure the Analog Breakout is receiving battery power from the Power Distribution Board.

The compressor shouldn't be able to run when the robot is disabled. Do you have it connected to a Spike relay module? Do you have the Spike's control cable connected to a Relay port on the Digital Sidecar?

Hopefully you re-created the code from last year? I'm not a programmer, but I was told* that last year's code is not compatible with this year's cRio image.
