Mounting VersaWheels
Our team has decided to switch our drive-train over to using 4" Versa Wheel DTs. We will mount the wheels using 1/2" Hex VersaHubs, but are unsure whether a hub is required on each side of the wheel, or whether one hub per wheel is enough.

Re: Mounting VersaWheels
One hub is enough, but I recommend placing a bearing on the other side of the wheel; as opposed to leaving it "empty".

An alternative is to use this guy: http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-1305.htm which makes wheel swaps a tad bit easier since the hex doesn't move. |

Another alternative would be to 3D print a hex spacer similar to the linked one if you have access to one. Last edited by team222badbrad : 07-03-2014 at 13:58. |

Re: Mounting VersaWheels
I’ll try that if I have time with all the other stuff that needs to get done. Can’t hurt to be a little bit lighter.
