Encoder set up for Digital Sidecar?
So with no luck on the encoders connected to the Jaguar, I learned that you can connect 3 wire encoders to the Digital sidecar. How would a PID control be set up for this? I'd like to know for next season, even though we're using a new control system it shouldn't be too different.

A 3-wire encoder? What type is it?

Re: Encoder set up for Digital Sidecar?
I'd suggest looking at the examples. They show how to wire to the digital breakout and let you enter the channel #s and run quickly. the examples are under the Help menu and on the Support tab on the Getting Started screen. The Digital>>Motor with Encoder is a good one to start with. Then add PID or Bang/Bang to control speed or position.

I was thinking about something else, not 3 wire encoders sorry. |
