Part searching
Team 1528 is looking for a camera that has proximity sensors in it to tell distance from the walls. Sort of like the back-up camera on a Ford truck but with numbers. If anyone has an idea where i can find one or how to create it myself , it would be very nice if anyone could help. Thanks.

Re: Part searching
how about one that uses sound, instead of light?

Re: Part searching
Did you research the Ford system to see what it uses for a sensor?

Re: Part searching
I found this a few years back for Bosch proximity sensors, but they are ultrasonic based. http://www.instructables.com/id/Hack...sors/?ALLSTEPS
I have a feeling that the amount of work put into getting a vehicle proximity sensor to work however wouldn't be worth it, the AM/KoP ultrasonic sensor would be much simpler to make work with the FRC control system. The only advantage that I can see with the Bosch vehicle sensors is the maximum distance which is more than twice the KoP sensor. |
