2014 Autodesk PNW District Championship
We just got our invites, but I didn't see a thread on it, so I though I'd start one.
Who's excited for the Autodesk PNW District Championship? |

Re: 2014 Autodesk PNW District Championship
My hat is on too. Figuratively.
I'm also really exited because we found that our shooter clutch wasn't releasing all the way, which was making our shot less powerful and more inconsistent. Once we fixed that yesterday, we took a full court shot into the high goal. Literally. Full 50 ft. ![]() |

Re: 2014 Autodesk PNW District Championship
Portland is going to be such an EPIC event! 64 of the top teams in the NW is going to make some of the most exciting matches I think we've ever seen in the NW.
2 weeks can't come soon enough. |

Re: 2014 Autodesk PNW District Championship
I can't wait for this event. Our team has had two successful events in a row and now we are ready to continue that streak. I'm not sure how we feel about Chairman's since I haven't had much to do in awards other than the video which I finished last week.
The one thing I can't wait to do is figure out how to make a highlight reel for this event. I'm hoping that the size of the venue doesn't make the video feel too all over the place. |

Re: 2014 Autodesk PNW District Championship
Here's an estimate of who's in and out for the district championship.
This is not authoritative in any way and there are some caveats: -This does not take into account chairman's award winners -This does not take into account rookie points -Assumes that everyone who's invited will attend Key Code:
in=will have enough points to make it in out=won't make it ~in=probably going to have enough points ~out=probably won't have enough points bubble=could easily go either way Code:
Best-case points to make it to district cmp: 52
Worst-case points to make it to district cmp: 68
Best estimate: 55

Yes, good to see that someone is paying attention.
This is what happens when you just slap together a silly python script. |

Re: 2014 Autodesk PNW District Championship
The FRC leader board already has who is "in" IE have already been offered a spot and registered. http://district.firstwa.org/PNW/2014 There are 3 teams that have been offered a spot but haven't yet accepted it. It does include rookie points and Chairman's teams that have already won.

http://district.firstwa.org/PNW/2014/PNCMP (or by using the event results tab). Since it is public information now, I can say that we invited 40 teams yesterday. All have accepted except for 2411, 4450 and 4918. We will release the rest of the invitations after the results of the final event are final. (We should be showing the numbers at the end of the awards ceremony at OSU, but I don't guarantee it) Last edited by alectronic : 31-03-2014 at 22:45. Reason: re-phrasing |
