New York City HOTELS!!!

Posted by Patrick Dingle at 02/26/2001 5:04 PM EST

Coach on team #639, Red B^2, from Ithaca High School and Cornell University.

Now that our robot has shipped, our team is scrambling to find a place to stay at the New York City competition. Where are other teams staying and what are the prices?

Thanks
Patrick

I believe there's a place that Columbia or FIRST (not sure) has set up. Check into that.

the nyc hotel blocks were only available for
a short time, long gone.

Even then, we opted to stay in NJ and commute.
this should work out, since the nyc times
are all 1 hour later than other regionals.

Our HS band is marching in the St. Patty's
Day parade in nyc on that Sat and the
band and Parents are staying at the same hotel.

The hotel is Holiday Inn North
(in Newark at the airport).

The commute will be "interesting",
up I95 and across the GWB.

But we couldn't beat the price.
$100 per room night vs. $170 per room night
(with all of the taxes) - just made the budget.
