Re: pic: Solidworks Blue Nitrile Tread Appearance File
Thank you.
In the past, I modified the knurling appearance for blue nitrile which looked... somewhat questionable. |

Nathan I thought you learned your lesson with three bolts in the wheel.

Re: pic: Solidworks Blue Nitrile Tread Appearance File
Has anyone actually had problems with that for reasonable-grade steel bolts (as opposed to crappy stainless ones)? For some reason, I'm having a hard time seeing 3 grade-8 steel bolts failing in that manner.

Re: pic: Solidworks Blue Nitrile Tread Appearance File
Any way we can get this for inventor? Could you include an image file so one can be made for inventor?

Re: pic: Solidworks Blue Nitrile Tread Appearance File
I just realized we have a bunch of inch thick aluminium plate in the shop that we are never gonna use for anything, I guess we could CNC our own. We have never tried anything like that as all we have in that department is a table top mill. COTS is nice, but I guess it's worth a shot if it could save us a few $100 over the entire robot.

Alternatively you can use the image file http://i.imgur.com/WfBfA7v.jpg to create your own. |

Re: pic: Solidworks Blue Nitrile Tread Appearance File
lol in this application you could use 1 bolt, it's simply keeping the 2 wheels next to each other on the hex shaft which is taking all the torque. But yes 3 in shear, never again.
