Question Technicality rules

Can we stack the gray totes upside-down or on their side and still have it count for points, or do they have to stay right-side-up?

Re: Technicality rules

From Section 3.1.2.3 of the game manual:
Quote:
A Gray TOTE is scored if it is fully supported by a SCORING PLATFORM and no portion of the TOTE extends above the top of the BACKSTOP.
This doesn't say anything about its orientation, so I would think that it will be scored regardless of how it's rotated.

However, it would be considerably harder to stack with totes turned sideways, and we haven't tested the stability of a stack of upside-down totes.

This is indeed an interesting concept, but the difficulty of stacking totes sideways seems a bit too high for me. There are a lot of totes available, and in close proximity to one another. I see no good reason to stack totes sideways, the instability seems like too big of a risk to me, might as well stack them normally.
