2015 FRC "Recycle Rush" GAME PIECE SOURCES - Recycle Bin
This thread is for listing all good sources you've found for this
year's field bin, and discussing anything you notice about them.

The "Recycling Container" for 2015 FRC Game "Recycle Rush" is:
... Can: Rubbermaid FG263200GRAY, or 1788472
... Specs: 32 Gal, 28.8" tall (incl lid), 21.9" Diameter, 8.65 lbs.

... Lid: Rubbermaid part number 1788471
... Specs: 2lbs, 4.75" diameter hole in center

(See the game manual for more data)

What's the BEST sources & prices for a quantity of them that
you've found so far? (either local, or online)

... Remember to include quantity & shipping!
(Also... Did you notice anything strange about them? Say it here!)

Thanks!
- Keith

Re: 2015 Game Piece Sources - Recycle Bin

Looking at the pictures, the 32 gallon Gray Rubbermaid FG263200GRAY is not exactly the same as the Green recycle bin 32 gallon Green Rubbermaid 1788472. From the picture, the Gray Rubbermaid is not completely round for the entire circumference below the handles and has 2 ribs from the base to the handle height on both sides. This may not be a big deal for the game since FIRST lists the model in the rules, but wanted to point out the differences.

Found 2 sources for the Green recycle bin 32 gallon Green Rubbermaid 1788472 and lids:
1) Rubbermaid for less (www.rubbermaidforless.com) and if you can pick up at 1 of their 32 store pickup locations you would be able to avoid shipping charges. I will find out on Monday if we can avoid shipping charges.

http://www.rubbermaidforless.com/rub...info-2182.html
http://www.rubbermaidforless.com/loc...info_id-7.html.

2) Katom Restaurant Supply Inc but must buy in packs of 6 and says 14+ lead time.
If you need to have them shipped, this would be a cheaper option if you are buying 6. You will have a $35 Non commercial fee and Freight estimate was more than $100.00 depending on your zip code.

In Canada, Home Depot sells a grey one that it basically the same, except the lid. The lid is not only solid (no slot), but it is not domed as much (it's much flatter than the game piece).

It may or may not work for you, depending on your strategy. However, it is very easy to obtain although a bit expensive at $45.

Rubbermaidforless sells those green lids (he linked above), separately for $15.17 and they do fit the Grey cans that Home Depot sells. (A lot cheaper to ship the lid than the whole can).

Re: 2015 Game Piece Sources - Recycle Bin

Cheapest prices I've found

The recycling container can be bought here: http://www.webstaurantstore.com/rubb...0FG2632GN.html
and the lid here: http://www.janisan.com/p2182/Rubberm...duct_info.html

The trash can can be bought in grey for like a dollar cheaper but I'd rather have it look right for the dollar difference

Re: 2015 Game Piece Sources - Recycle Bin

I bought 10 sets for a full field for SCRRF. Shipping varied a lot for the recycling containers. Considering shipping, I bought the recycling containers here:
http://www.peachsuite.com/106630/rub...l-1788472.html

and the lids here:
