Howto: Connect to RoboRIO USB on Linux

I wrote a small howto here: http://www.virtualroadside.com/blog/...-usb-on-linux/

It's a bit rough, but gets the job done. Hopefully somebody will make this easier to do.

Re: Howto: Connect to RoboRIO USB on Linux

Alternative, If you are on Ubuntu and are using Network manager.

1) Plug in RIO
2) Open Network Manager connections editor
3) Create new Ethernet connection
4) Click on the 'Device MAC address' drop-down and select the one that shows '(usb#)' next to it.
5) Click on 'IPv4 Settings' tab
6) Select 'Shared to other computers' from the drop-down.
7) Unplug and re-plug in the RIO.
8) ...
9) Profit.

The RIO will auto connect whenever you plug it in.

Don't expect this to work for everyone. I just know it works on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
