Robot in 100 hours ("robot en 100 heures" aka roboten100h)

The roboten100h (robot in 100 hours) adventure draws to an end this year.

The group formed of professional engineers from the Sherbrooke Qc area wanted to share with the FIRST community their experience meeting the 2015 FIRST Robotics Competition FRC challenge, in 100 hours, starting at kickoff on January 3.

The roboten100h initiative carries educational and inspirational goals. Over a period of 100 consecutive hours, roboten100h has designed a robot able to fulfill the objectives of the 2015 game. The aim is to inspire FRC teams by providing solutions through explanatory video clips. Other educational clips were also produced in pre-season in order to assist teams who wish to get ready on various technical aspects.

The community was able to follow the work of roboten100h live, from January 3rd to 7th, 2015.

In addition, video clips (in French) are now available for the teams :
roboten100h trailer for the 2015 FRC season
• Pre-season: Performance evaluation for mecanum transmission (acceleration, maneuverability, climb, traction)
• Pre-season: Performance evaluation for 2-speed pneumatic transmission (acceleration, maneuverability, climb, traction)
• Pre-season: Comparison of 2-speed pneumatic vs mecanum transmissions
• 100 hours: Summary of Day 1 (brainstorming, presentation of concepts and proof of concept)
• 100 hours: Summary of Day 2 (building the 3-position ladder, proof of concept)
• 100 hours: Summary of Day 3 - Part 1 (modifications to the ladder, drivebase and frame, demo)
• 100 hours: Summary of Day 3 - Part 2 (limit micro switch, forklift concept, Jaws ...)
• 100 hours: Summary of Day 4 (mechanism for raising the recycling bin, demonstrating the use of systems in a gaming context)
• 100 hours: Summary of Day 5 (hybrid mechanism for raising the recycling bins and crates, demonstration of the use of systems in a gaming context)

To follow the work of roboten100h:

Thanks to partners and individuals who have made possible this project.
