Changing 64-bit driver station to 32-bit
I have a 64bit computer that runs the driver station but have been having problems with the USB camera. I read somewhere to change everything to there 32bit equivalents. I tested this on a 32bit machine at it worked first try. However I can seem to find a way to select what bit the driver station installs as. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Changing 64-bit driver station to 32-bit
If I recall correctly, the driver station (along with FRC LabVIEW and everything in the NI update) is 32-bit regardless of what operating system you have. This makes it easier as 32-bit can run on both 64 and 32-bit systems.

Thanks, also using all other 32bit tools (eclipse, JDK) did not solve any USB camera options

Re: Changing 64-bit driver station to 32-bit
Have you tried running the drive station in compatibility mode? Right click the .exe and go to properties -> compatibility and select Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Re: Changing 64-bit driver station to 32-bit
It isn't clear to me why you are focussing efforts on the DS.
The camera and/or robot speak directly to the dashboard. The camera display is not sent to the DS, and the DS's only role is to tell the dashboard what the robot IP address is. I'm not sure that Java or C++ even use that info. Greg McKaskle |

I am focusing on the DS because I can get the PC driver station to give me camera feed but it fails whenever I use the Java Dashboard.

The equivalent of the driver station camera on SmartDashboard is "USB Camera", be sure you're not using "Simple Camera Viewer" as that connects to the standard axis ip camera |
