[FTC]: Servo Wire Connection
Chief Delphi,
We are the Charging Champions, team 8660 from SoCal. We had a question regarding the unreliability of servo connections. Last year, since one of our servos required an extension, we bought some cables from TETRIX (http://www.tetrixrobotics.com/Servo_Extension). However, they came apart very easily, costing us several matches. This year, we would like to avoid that problem. Is there a different kind of connector (like how Anderson Powerpoles replace Tamiya connectors) that would solve this problem? Thanks in advance. Sincerely, The Charging Champions |

Re: [FTC]: Servo Wire Connection
There aren't really alternate connectors. That said, I strongly zip-tying all extension cable connections and/or wrapping in electrical tape. Use the really thin zip ties, and thread them in between the wires on both sides, and you will have a connector that does not fall apart. Also, see the PWM cables at AndyMark if you want other lengths (http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-0695.htm)
