iAMdriver Question

Dear CD Community:

I hoping to find someone out there that has experience with the old AndyMark iAMdriver product. Before, I begin my question, I do understand that this is a discontinued product, but i was hoping to use it for a elementary demo idea that I had.

Situation:
I bought the device a very long time ago and never opened the box. I finally got around to trying it and had the following issue.

The device was installed on a very simple skid drive base and seemed to power up normally. The device does not seem to be overheating and does not display any signs of electrical power issues. The device is behaving as described in the instructions. (solid green light and blinking red light)
The device seems to be in a normal pre-connection state.

However when I go to connect with any device, NO Network can be found.
The device does not seem to be broadcasting a signal.

So two questions really:

1- Am I missing some critical step that is preventing the device from broadcasting a signal?

2- If its simply not broadcasting and is not performing correctly, is there away to fix it?

Again, I realize that this is no longer a supported product, but I was hoping that someone on CD may have encountered this same issue before.
I just wanted to see if I could get it to work before tossing it.

Did you try giving the folks at AndyMark a call? Their support staff is pretty great.
