Frame Perimeter Definitions and/or Problems
While discussing strategies with my team, we came upon the realization that winching our robot up, if it becomes horizontal as in the picture, if the cable is more than 15 inches long, it's considered more than 15 inches outside of our frame perimeter.
Is this true? Are there exceptions for the last 20 seconds? ![]() Last edited by Jacob9869 : 10-01-2016 at 16:01. Reason: Forgot picture |

Re: Frame Perimeter Definitions and/or Problems
See the picture on G17. Although G17 talks about height, the corollary applies to frame perimeter (15 inch rule).

Re: Frame Perimeter Definitions and/or Problems
in the last 20 seconds robot height is infinite.

Re: Frame Perimeter Definitions and/or Problems
But that is in relation to the robot base sitting on the floor and not a completely vertical volume.

Re: Frame Perimeter Definitions and/or Problems
Height is infinite, but width is not. The sketch with the ? above it would not be legal as a part of the ROBOT is more than 15" outside the FRAME PERIMETER. There is no exception for G18 in the last 20 seconds. Only for G17.
