roboRIO connection issues
We have been trying to connect to our roboRIO via Ethernet but are unable to. Our team has already updated and reimaged the RIO. When we connect via USB cable we can find the RIO. We have also been able to ping the RIO when the Ethernet is connected however we still cant find the roboRIO when we look it up in Explorer. We are currently using Windows 8. Thanks and all help is much appreciated.

Re: roboRIO connection issues
What IP address are you trying to connect to it with?

Re: roboRIO connection issues
If you connect both the USB and the ethernet cables, you should be able to use your browser to determine the ethernet IP address. Browse to address 172.22.11.2. This should take you to the roboRIO status page (via the USB cable). On this page you'll find the ethernet IP address. The address should have the form 10.TE.AM.xx. Use that address to reach the roboRIO over the ethernet cable.
On page 210 of the Getting Started with the 2016 Control System (pdf), you'll find an IP address to reach the roboRIO. |

Re: roboRIO connection issues
We have connected to the roboRIO with both USB and Ethernet but only found an IP address starting with 169. We have also tries accessing that IP address directly on internet explorer without success. We haven't seen an address in the form of 10.TE.AM.xx.

Re: roboRIO connection issues
A 169. address means the roboRIO isn't receiving DHCP from the Open Mesh radio.
Have you setup the radio using the FRC Radio Configuration Utility? |
