Has anyone tried 8" foam tires?
8" pneumatic tires have been hard to come by this season, and I was wondering if anyone tried what we tried. We bought 8" foam filled tires from a third party and got some screwdrivers and knives and got the foam out. No shortage on inner tubes.
It's worked pretty well for us so far, albeit that isn't a very long time. Has anyone else tried this? Is there a problem down the line we aren't seeing? Thanks in advance. |

Pnuematic tires are more bouncy.

Re: Has anyone tried 8" foam tires?
Bouncy is not always good! We've let about half the air out of our AM 8" wheels because they are TOO bouncy.
I toyed with the idea of stuffing them full of pool noodles to avoid the slim chance of popping. |

I agree, but our logic was that you can let air out of a pneumatic wheel but not a foam one.
