Axis Camera Blurry?
I just dug out our old Axis Camera M1013. I'm in the webdash configuration page to set some settings, and the video is super blurry. As far as I can tell, there's no way to manually focus the camera. Is there a way to fix this? Or do you think that this camera just needs to be replaced?
Thank you! (P.S. the images aren't pixelated, just blurry.) |

Re: Axis Camera Blurry?
The Axis M1013 has manual focus. You have to adjust the focus ring.
http://www.axis.com/files/manuals/um...52_en_1509.pdf Check out page 6 on which ring to adjust. Edit: I should say, that you shouldn't HAVE to adjust it, they do come focused already. But it is possible it got adjusted. Also I'd check to make sure the lens doesn't have a fingerprint or something on it. Last edited by nighterfighter : 08-02-2016 at 19:02. |

Re: Axis Camera Blurry?
Thank you so much! I swear I had tried that already... it looks good now.
Now, I'm new to our team and I don't know exactly how to get the camera set up in Labview. I've changed the IP in the vision subVI but nothing appears on the Dashboard. What do i have to do to get the feed in the doashboard? Thanks! |

Re: Axis Camera Blurry?
Did you use the Axis Camera Setup tool?
If you've installed the FRC Update it's located under c://Program Files/National Instruments/LabVIEW 2015/project/Axis Camera Tool That sets up a couple of required things that the Dashboard depends upon. For example an FRC/FRC account, and an mDNS name of axis-camera |

Re: Axis Camera Blurry?
I did use the camera set up tool. Is there anything I need to change in the LabView Vision VI?

Re: Axis Camera Blurry?
Nothing has to change in code like the Vision.vi
The AP camera sends directly to the Dashboard. The roboRIO isn't involved. So it's all about if the Dashboard can find axis-camera. Go into the Axis TCP/IP settings and look for where the mDNS name is set. By factory default the Axis camera has "axis-camera-serial number" and you want to change it to be just "axis-camera" Then of course select "IP camera" on the Dashboard.
