kangaroo barrel connector size

We damaged our barrel connector pretty bad for the Kangaroo. I can't find the size anywhere online and microsoft has been totally worthless trying to figure it out.

Is anyone able to tell me the size of the barrel connector? Outer diameter, inner diameter, length?

Thanks!

Hey!

I've tried searching around, however, I can not seem to find anything either..

I would suggest that you try some different connectors that you have lying around, in my experience lots of electronics use the same type of DC - in barrel connector.

Try one of the connectors that come with the routers each year, maybe you'll get lucky?

I'll look around some more, good luck!

Just make sure you get the polarity correct. Most things are center pin positive, but better to take the time to check (if your current, damaged plug can still output voltage, putting a multimeter in there only costs a few seconds) than to fry the board.

Also, I really don't like the idea of "getting lucky" when trying random electronic components, and hoping for the best.
Unless they are my own personal items that I don't care about.

I agree it's not the best solution. If you are going to do this I too would suggest a multimeter to check the polarity.
Also make sure you confirm the proper DC voltage required before you connect.

Re: kangaroo barrel connector size

Was able to get a best guess and found that a 1.1 mm ID and 3 mm OD works!
