This robot is so awesome! Despite not competing in the same division, I'm definitely going to come and check it out! Good luck, 254!

You're gonna need that in your division. That's Epic.

A two ball auto that doesn't drop their pre-load AND goes over the rock wall will carry you straight off Newton and onto Einstein.

One sec. Robots are srs bzns after all...

The 2nd ball wasn't centered on the tape. And if it were, the intake appears to come down over the apex of the 2nd ball, meaning it broke the plane of the center tape. Am I seeing that right?

We do not cross the center tape.

This.

I think champs will need light beams to prove if or if-not a robot broke the center plane.

Also, I'll expect a second position from 1986. Probably rough terrain too.

While I do hope this works out for them at champs, I have to agree that based on this video, it is doubtful this particular routine would actually get the ball in a legal starting position. It seems that the bot just barely doesnt cross the line, but the ball also seems to be 2 inches closer

I'm not going to claim to know 254's intake geometry, but from the angle of the camera, 2 inches farther and it wouldn't get a grip on that ball.

Of course, I imagine this isn't the final iteration either.

If he says it doesn't cross, then I believe it doesn't cross. Normally I'm right there with ya if it were anyone other than the Poofs.
