Happy Mole Day.

6.02x10^23. Too bad it's past 6:02, but I didn't feel like getting up that early to post...I'm not quite _that_ addicted

Indeed, Today is mole day, a day in celebration of the "6.02 x 10^23", commonly known as the conversion factor from Moles to Molecules, or from Molecules to Moles. Refer to the "Roadmap".

In Chemistry today, we got a bunch of extra credit problems dealing with mole ... Then we got to color cute little moles (you know, the furry animals) for more extra credit! RBrandy made his mole into Dean Kamen - quite interesting

We did that when I took chemistry. I made my mole out of pipe cleaners and construction paper. It took like 2 minutes and it was the best one out of them all. Other people made things that looked like gophers or rats. Mine was an oval-shaped peice of brown paper with yellow and red pipe cleaners for legs. Then I lost him.

I have too much free time...but I'm leaving in a few minutes to play with Lego's and middle schoolers. Yay for Lego League. (Those kids are almost as insane as our actual robotics team )

6:02AM Mole Cake (pancake) breakfast
7:00AM frantic Mole Buck (extra credit moneyz) hunt in the pitch black outside the school
7:20AM first clue of the Epic Mole Hunt! (6 total, no one has figured out #4... anyone know a symynym for beauty? (3rd letter is v, first 2 letters are also element symbols)
6th hour chemistry about 1:30PM Mole olympics (i dominated the Boyl's Law Balloon game, the 4 legged race was FUNNY!) We kicked AP Chemistry's rear ends!

We blew a few circut breakers even...

Hum...theres no element 'L', is there? If so...'lovely.' Maybe 'inviting' Iodine and Nitrogen...I think that's it. What do I win?

It's bound to be the best holiday ever. It's the only day where we did absolutely nothing productive in Chemistry. Now I'm in Phsyics and nearly forgot about mole day

i was sitting here at my computer doing my AP chemistry lab report and a thought just popped into my head: why is it that the abreviation for mole is mol? why drop the 'e'? it's not much of an abreviation if one letter is dropped. for some strange reason that came up in my chem class before. eh... *shrugs* okay... i'm done... i just needed to do something to get away from the lab report.

That confused me for a quarter of the year. I thought they were two different things I kept trying to convert between the two
