What did you guys do to your griper?

We're not Griping about our Gripper, but...
You don't know how the new end effector is going to work because you have not really seen it in action. Multiple mechanical problems with loose pneumatics lines, a broken fuse block, and worn out drill motors prevented the new device from getting a true test. I won't say "your jaws will drop" since that's been done, but the new end effector is amazingly versatile and effective. Also, the old gripper can be remounted fairly easily if it's ever needed again.
