You'll probably get better answers here Chairman's Award Forum, but this is probably the 2nd best place.

What it took to win Chairman's Award?

For some reason i really want to say not always 100% about what your team does, but how your team carries it out while doing it and how u present it to the judges (this year is different of course). Last year in our video that gave us a regional chairman's award victory at the Midwest Regional we tried to focus on all the activities we do as a team, for the community, and with other teams.

It's what your regional people are looking for. Some what splash with TV and Magazine ads. Some like helping the under privalaged teams. Some love showing off robots at other places. Others like to see you host an off-season comp.

It really depends, but a good mixture of helping FLL and other FIRST teams and a huge dose of charisma and image is helpful (think MOE or the huge ballon at Nats for MiM)

Although, remember that this year's chairman's award will be vastly different from past years. You are limited to 4 single sided typed pages, and whatever text or graphics you can fit on them. No editing studios required.

I'm sorry youre coming late pal. The Chairman's Award used to be fun. It used to include more efficent forms of media than 4 pieces of paper. However, team 341 still has confidence in winning it this year since we got robbed last year.
