Here we see a rare glimpse into the Swiss cheese factories of FRC.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #647
The team finally conceded to logic, that the bag filled with helium will not save more weight than the tank containing it weighs. That, and the holes drilled through wheels, motors, and wires, are the reason we have the two golden rules: First, weigh as you build, and second no all-nighters. Never. Ever. Again.

On second thought, maybe lead 80/20 wasn't the best idea.

Robot: Why can't I just eat right and exercise to lose weight, like these humans do, instead of going through this torture?
Humans: What do you mean, eat right and exercise to lose weight? Cold pizza and beating the frame with a hammer don't cut it? |

Drill until you hear Mr. Cartwright scream, "MY LEG!!!" Then you know you've drilled far enough.

They're actually strong enough that they can bend the metal into shape with their bare hands.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #647
Long before mentoring Team Spectrum, a young Allen Gregory IV participates in an experiment to determine whether a 1/2" drill bit or a water spray bottle is more damaging to robots, and how much defense a plastic garbage bag can be.
[NPOE]Did it really take 8+ years and a photo caption contest before someone noticed that he started a second account? What's the statute of limitations on a second account?[/NPOE] Last edited by GeeTwo : 30-11-2016 at 20:46. |

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #647
Wow, never thought this would be brought up again. I think that was at least 6 hours of drilling 1/2" holes into steel sprockets while mounted on the robot.
This is one of my favorite "back in my day stories", kids these days, with their fancy aluminum sprockets, don't know how good they have it. |

Are you sure we need another hole? It's more holey than swiss cheese! Yes, I do know that's the reason we call it that. But I'm still up for asking the programmers to lighten their code again
