Bridge firmware load failed-- HELP!
Hello, I noticed there were some other threads on this from last year, but I had trouble understanding some of the instructions. Assume I have virtually no technical knowledge (rookie programming team).
When we press load firmware trying to configure our FRC radio radio we got in the 2017 KOP it gives us the error "Bridge firmware load failed: Error finding NPF device name for adapter. Atheros AR8131 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20). Please reset bridge and try again" What can we do to fix this? Thank you! |

Re: Bridge firmware load failed-- HELP!
First off, welcome to CD Helianthium!
The first suggestion I have is to always use the search function on CD before posting. I know for a fact there is a thread about this exact issue. I should know, I posted it. That said, there is no specific answer to this question yet. There are lots of suggestions to try, but nothing specific. The first suggestion is to disable ALL interfaces except the Ethernet adapter on the laptop. The next suggestion is to try a different PC. As nice as this software is, I find it a bit buggy. When it works, it works well. When it doesn't.......well... |

Re: Bridge firmware load failed-- HELP!
Hi Billbo911, thanks for the welcome. I did search, as I said in the post-- we already tried disabling all interfaces and the firewall and trying another computer unfortunately! Sorry I forgot to mention that. We are currently installing the new 2017 FRC suite, so perhaps the issue was not updating that? Also I'm not sure you and I are having the same error, since ours didn't say anything about drivers? Sorry if the drivers and the bridge are the same thing, I honestly have no idea what I'm doing. I'll let you know if downloading the new suite for 2017 fixes the issue, let me know if you find another fix!

Re: Bridge firmware load failed-- HELP!
Version 17.2 has been posted which should fix the NPF error: https://usfirst.collab.net/sf/frs/do...ation_utilit_2
