Go to Post I'll toss this out to stir up the pot: if you need double precision floats for your FRC software, you should re-think what you're doing. - Ether [more]

Unable to use the ADIS16448 IMU board with Java

I have a problem with the new 2017 WPIlib that some people may be able to help solve.

Our team ordered the ADIS16448 IMU sensor board through FIRST Choice this year. While it looked like a good idea at the time, I have now found that the sample code provided in the Github repo they link is not compatible with the new WPIlib.

I have opened an issue describing the errors, but in the mean time, perhaps someone more familiar with WPIlib can find a solution. I hope we can use this sensor for autonomous this year, so I very much want to get it working.

I should note that I found nothing useful after skimming through the porting guide, though I may have missed something.

The code was quickly patched to work with the new version of WPIlib yesterday. Expect more updates soon!
