Post December 21st Workshops

From David Liebs of the Workshop branch of WRRF committee:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Greetings Teams,
It is almost time for another WRRF day of seminars on Saturday December 21st at San Jose State University. These seminars are excellent for rookie teams and veteran teams alike. They should help your teams be much better prepared when the competition
begins in January which is getting very close now. The price for the entire day is $5 per person.

Location:
Technology Bldg., 9th & San Fernando St., Rm. 216
Fernando Street. (31 on map)
Best parking is in the 7th street parking garage. (30 on map). You will need 4 one dollar bills.

Campus Map: http://www.sjsu.edu/campusmap/map.html#mainmap

We will start the day in the Technology Bldg. in Rm. 216 at 9:00 am for Greetings and Announcements.

The day will consist of two separate tracks.

Greetings and announcements 9:00 - 9:30
Morning session from 9:45-11:15
Lunch from 11:30-12:30
and an Afternoon Session from 12:30-3:45

Track 1
Morning and Afternoon: "Wiring your Robot" led by Ken Kreiger

In this seminar you will learn all about wiring up the First Control System to all the other electronic devices. This is a hands on seminar.

Track 2
Morning and Afternoon: "Building a drive train" led by Ken Leung

In this seminar you will learn the fundamentals of building a a reliable drive train. This too is a hands on seminar.

I am very excited about both of these seminars. I don't know how I will choose which one to attend.
This is also our last day of activities before the launch on January 5th.

We are look forward to seeing you all there,
-David Leibs

Peter Yim took these pictures during the workshop yesterday:

It went extremely well, and the students liked the hands-on experience a lot! I am so happy .
