Go to Post I looked at it and originally thought it was a crazy idea... then I looked at it again and it still sounds like a crazy idea. But crazy ideas tend to produce some excellent results. - Yipyapper [more]

Deadline Change

Just so you guys know, they changed the deadline from March 10 or so to February 21.

Personally, I think that's terrible because I remember last year I did most of the work on the animation after the robot shipped because there was too much to do. Now with Junior year I have even less time to do stuff, which means less animation because the robot has priority.

Did they post this? I'm in charge of updates for the team and I haven't seen this. The book they gave us is still saying March 10th. Thanks.

While I haven't talked with anyone at FIRST to confirm or deny this, I have a feeling that the earlier deadline was required to allow for the regional animation awards....a March deadline as in years past would have put it right in the middle of regionals...

They probably would like something than just the robot being featured in the animation. I was looking at the older animations and man was it boring! They were all the same really.
This just means you guys either have to pay very close attention to the teams process for making the robot and create from that or find new creative ways to express your point in the animation. I think everyone will do fine.
